For now, here’s today’s tip:
When you can’t sleep or when you’re feeling anxious, try this:
Start with your feet and work up your body relaxing every little muscle (you can even go through each toe and finger) relaxing more and more.
Each time you relax a body part, tell yourself to double the relaxation, and then double that.
Whilst doing this exercise, breathe deeply into your belly, allowing the belly to expand when you breathe in and contract when you breathe out. Let go and relax even more with each breath.
Feel the bed or the chair under you as you sink deeply, allowing the universe to hold you.
Try smiling into each of your organs as you move up your body. For example, imagine your kidneys smiling (they’re located in your lower back).
Don’t worry if you have trouble imagining this. You may find that you have drifted off, or have a sense of peace without even trying and that’s the key:
STOP EFFORTING.
Allow yourself to flow,
like a gently winding stream.
Let go of all your efforts–
watch the peaceful scene.
