"Dear Shira Bliss, Singing Poetess: Thank you for your magic and your healing. Thank you for singing your poems to me. Your voice is pure and natural. I find your songs to be very healing. You’re one of a kind and you know how to love unconditionally. Congratulations on your book; I can feel your heart in it."

For those of us who tend to judge ourselves harshly, Ms. Bliss’ poems will captivate and transform you to a place of self-love and acceptance. If you suffer from overthinking, depression or anxiety, you’ve come to the right place for help with this grand peak into Shira’s big beautiful heart."
— Dr. Lauren E. Pichard, PsyD, CEO Ascension Psychology, Inc.

Excerpt

I was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. My schoolmates were jealous of how pretty I was, so they would regularly beat me up to make me ugly.

I felt ugly inside.

My daddy left me when I was seven years old for another woman. When he divorced my mother I felt abandoned and unloved. I don’t remember Daddy ever hugging me. I’ve been trying to prove I’m lovable ever since.

Does any of this sound familiar?
• Absent or disengaged father
• Looking for love in all the “wrong” places
• Trying to prove yourself / get Daddy (or Mommy) to love you
• Never feeling good enough, that you fit in, or that you matter

The book has been arranged into three sections: THE PAIN; THE PROCESS; THE PROMISE. The poems can be enjoyed in chronological order or you can open a random page and see what your message is for today.

Do you ask yourself: Why am I here? This book will answer this question and put you on the path to feeling more love and joy in your life.
